WHAT JAMES HAMILTON HAD TO SAY ABOUT THIS RELEASE:
BEASTIE BOYS ‘Love American Style EP’ (US Capitol V-15483)
Preceding their long awaited and new label debuting ‘Paul’s Boutique’ LP is this four track EP, from which the shouting, spitting and scratching quite P’funky 103⅙bpm ‘Shake Your Rump’ and similar Roger/Zapp sampling 101⅚bpm ‘Hey Ladies‘ will be back-to-back on single next week, while on the EP (which should be available here at a UK price now in advance) also are their retitled respective dub versions, the funkily shuffling 103bpm ‘33% God‘ and 101⅚bpm ‘Dis Yourself In ’89 (Just Do It)‘. Without a trace of rock, they kick!
