WHAT CUT CHEMIST HAD TO SAY ABOUT THIS RELEASE:
Zulu Jam Boogie parts 1-3. The Rarest of the rare!!! Acetates of classic break beats that shaped the Hip Hop culture. These were made for Zulu Nation DJ sets in the late 70s. A lot of these were newly discovered "secret" breaks at the time. Unearthed by the Master Of Records Afrika Bambaataa. In my opinion, this marks the beginning of the 'beat tape', putting down ideas and tools to utilize for DJ routines and, unknowingly, songs later on down the road. Notice the crude nature of the loops as I believe some of these were done using the cassette tape pause mixing process but I can't be certain. As time went on, they got cleaner as you'll hear in the next series. These are true artifacts of the culture. Remastered by myself for maximum enjoyment. From my crate to yours!
