Information:

The Mastermind Roadshow was a Hip Hop/Electro sound system and D.J. collective founded by Herbie Laidley who will forever be associated with the Street Sounds Electro series by early U.K. B-Boys as they expertly mixed so many of them. They had a regular show on the pirate station 'Radio Invicta 103.6 FM' in the mid 1980's and also had various club residencies during that period, which included 'Soho Ronnie Scott’s Maze' and 'Mayfair Gullivers'. My research suggests that the members of the collective were fluid, but in James Hamilton's Record Mirror column on 23 June 1984 he lists the members as Herbie, Dave, Max, K.C., C.J., D.A., Jam and Macho Moore. You can read an article about them in the May 1984 edition of The Face here and the below picture of the crew in Herbie's back room is taken from that article. As you can see, the picture shows seven members of the collective and I assume they are seven of the eight names mentioned in James' aforementioned column.
